North Shore Medical Imaging has performed mammograms for over 35 years, and offers Full Field digital mammography.
With digital mammography, X-rays of detailed breast images are saved as digital computer images that can be viewed immediately. In addition, the use of digital mammography allows radiologists to easily enlarge or enhance images for a faster, easier, and more accurate diagnosis.
Digital mammography is an important tool in regular breast cancer screening, as well as in diagnosis. BC Cancer recommends regular screening mammography for those over 40 years of age with breast tissue.
